Centre Manager: Jill Faulkner
Jill has been her husband's carer since 1999 when he suffered a TBI. Jill has had several years of experience as a volunteer at the Head Forward Centre and took over the role of Centre Manager in September 2015.
Programe Director: Martin Casassus
Martin is studying a PhD in Psychology at University of Manchester. He has worked at different levels with brain injury survivors in clinical settings, community centres and support services. He became involved at the Head Forward Centre in 2014 as volunteer and since August 2016 has taken the role of Programe Director. He has recently had published, with Dr./ Christian Salas, a research article looking at social isolation in TBI.
Activity Co-ordinator: Diane Marsh
Prior to joining the Head Forward Centre, Diane worked for 17 years in Occupational Therapy/Mental Health for the NHS. Her experience of group activities and general counselling support are a valuable contribution to the Head Forward Centre.
Keith became involved after his brother's brain injury in 1984. He becomes actively involved with Headway South Manchester & Stockport Branch and has been Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
Magda has been volunteering at HFC since June 2015. Magda has a business studies degree and has worked on the business plan and the website for Head Forward Centre.
Lee has been volunteering at HFC since October 2016. He was originally invited here to help make a film about the experiences of the attendees and enjoyed the experience so much that he decided to come back as a volunteer. He now hopes to pursue a PhD in Anthropology, focusing on the social and emotional consequences of TBI.
